Terms of Service

Effective date: 29 August 2026. These Terms govern access to and use of the Assurevance website, application process, credential registry, certificates, digital badges, and verification services.

1. About these terms

These Terms govern use of the Assurevance website, applications, assessments, credential registry, certificates, digital badges, and related services (the Services). The Services are provided by Assurevance LLC, registered in Switzerland under number CHE-138.739.580, of Registered Office: Samstagernstrasse 57, 8832 Wollerau Switzerland (the Issuer, we, us).

By submitting an application, using a credential, or accessing the Services for an organisation, you agree to these Terms and confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation. You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a binding agreement.

2. Services and credential status

Programme requirements, scope, validity, fees, and assessment rules are described on the applicable programme page and Assessment Rules. Submission or payment does not guarantee approval, issuance, renewal, regulatory compliance, or acceptance by a third party.

A credential is current only when its official verification record states Active. A PDF, badge, screenshot, or claimed credential alone is not evidence of current status. Unless expressly documented and legally supported, a credential does not imply endorsement by ISO, government, an accreditation body, or another third party.

3. Applications and decisions

You must provide complete, accurate, current, lawful information and evidence, hold the authority to submit it, and promptly notify us of material changes. We may request clarification, pause, reject, correct, suspend, revoke, expire, replace, or renew a credential under programme rules, for security, legal, administrative, or evidence-related reasons.

Where appropriate, we will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to respond before a material adverse decision. Appeals and complaints must be submitted under the Complaints and Appeals Policy within 30 days of the decision.

4. Validity and permitted credential use

While a credential is Active, the holder receives a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to display its unmodified certificate and digital badge solely to identify the active credential accurately. The holder must preserve the verification link or QR code where possible, describe its scope and dates accurately, and remove or update it promptly when it expires, is suspended, revoked, or replaced.

You must not forge, sell, transfer, materially alter, misleadingly crop, falsely present, or use a credential, QR code, badge, certificate number, or Issuer brand to imply unapproved endorsement or affiliation. The Credential Use Policy forms part of these Terms.

5. Registry, privacy, and availability

Where public verification is selected or required, we may display the holder name, programme, identifier, status, dates, approved scope, and other fields described in the Privacy Notice. We may correct the registry to show the authoritative current status. We use reasonable care but do not promise uninterrupted availability or third-party acceptance.

6. Fees and payments

Fees, taxes, payment timing, cancellations, and refunds will be shown before payment and may be governed by the Refunds Policy. Payment providers process card payments under their own terms. We may pause Services while failed, reversed, disputed, or overdue payments are resolved, subject to mandatory consumer rights.

7. Acceptable use and intellectual property

You must not access private records without authority, interfere with the Services, circumvent security controls, use harmful automation, upload malware or unlawful material, impersonate another person, or misuse registry information. You retain rights in lawful submitted material and grant us a limited licence to process it to operate the Services, assess applications, maintain records, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes.

We and our licensors retain rights in the Services, brand, designs, templates, software, and programme content, except for the limited credential-use licence above.

8. Liability, termination, and general terms

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Services are provided on an “as available” basis. Nothing excludes liability that law does not permit us to exclude. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or loss arising from a third party’s acceptance or non-acceptance of a credential.

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, security or legal risk, materially false information, or legal necessity. We may update these Terms with notice for material changes. The governing law is Switzerland and disputes are subject to the competent courts at the Issuer’s registered office, subject to mandatory law.
